Terms of Use

1. The service & who provides it

ScanForAI is an explainable AI-writing detector. You paste text and we estimate how much of it reads like AI-generated writing, showing the signals behind the score.

ScanForAI is a product of Zoniax OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia (registry code 16853667). Zoniax OÜ is the contracting party under these terms; ScanForAI is the name the service is sold and billed under.

2. Accuracy — a signal, not a verdict

You agree that you will not use ScanForAI as the sole basis for any consequential decision about a person — including academic, disciplinary, hiring, or legal decisions — and that you will not use a result to accuse anyone. You are solely responsible for how you interpret and act on the results.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• exceed the rate limits, or script/automate the service to get around them;
• submit content you have no right to submit, or anything unlawful or infringing;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service;
• resell or redistribute the service or results without our written permission.

5. Your content

You keep all rights to the text you submit. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process it and return a result (and, for signed-in users, to store it for your history until you delete it). See the Privacy Policy.

6. Plans, billing & refunds

ScanForAI offers a free tier and paid plans with higher limits and extra features. The price, the billing period, and what the plan includes are always shown at checkout before you pay. Limits and features may change as the service evolves.

• Who you are buying from. ScanForAI is operated by Zoniax OÜ. Payments are handled by the payment partner named at checkout, which is the seller of record for your purchase. It issues your receipt and applies its own checkout terms to the payment. We answer billing questions, and this refund policy applies. We never see or store your card details.
• Tax. VAT or sales tax is added at checkout where the law requires it, based on the country you give us, and is shown before you pay.
• On your statement. The charge appears on your statement under the name of the payment partner shown at checkout, usually followed by ScanForAI — not as Zoniax.
• Renewal & cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account; you keep full access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and you are not charged again.
• Refunds. Annual plans can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase if you haven’t made significant use of the paid features. Monthly plans are not refunded once a period has started — cancel instead, and the plan simply doesn’t renew. Billing errors are always corrected. • Price changes. If a price changes, we tell you in advance and it applies from your next billing period — never mid-period.

7. Partner programme

This section applies if you join the partner programme. Joining is free and open to anyone aged 18 or older who has a ScanForAI account with a verified email address.

• Commission. You earn the rate shown on your partner page on every payment made by a subscription that started through one of your partner links, for as long as that subscription runs and the programme continues. It is worked out on the amount the customer paid, after any discount and before tax.
• Which subscriptions count. A subscription counts as yours when it starts within 60 days of the last click on one of your links, in the same browser. Some browsers keep this record for a shorter time. If a customer followed more than one partner’s link, the most recent click counts. Clicks, sign-ups and free accounts earn nothing.
• Your own accounts. Commission is not paid on your own subscription or on accounts you control, and we may withhold or reverse commission we find was earned that way.
• Confirmation and refunds. Each commission is confirmed 45 days after the payment it comes from. If a payment is refunded or charged back, its commission is removed. If that happens after the commission was paid out, the amount is deducted from what you earn next.
• Payout. Confirmed commission of $25 or more is paid once a month, on the 5th, to the PayPal address you give us. A smaller balance carries over. Payouts are made in US dollars; any fee PayPal charges you for receiving or converting is yours.
• Tax. You are responsible for declaring and paying any tax due on what you earn. We may ask for details the law requires us to hold before we can pay you.
• You act for yourself. You recommend ScanForAI on your own behalf, not as our agent or employee. You may use the name ScanForAI to recommend it, as long as you follow these rules.
• Disclosure. Wherever you share a partner link you must say clearly that you earn a commission from it.
• What you may not say. You may not state an accuracy figure for ScanForAI, call it 100% accurate, or say or imply that a result proves, confirms or determines who wrote a text. You may not promise anyone earnings from the programme.
• What you may not do. No search ads on the ScanForAI name or its misspellings, and no adverts that could be read as ours. No coupon, cashback or deal-site placements. No forced clicks, hidden frames or anything else that overwrites another partner’s link. No placement on pages that offer or promote ghostwriting, essay mills or “undetectable” writing services. Do not present yourself as ScanForAI, use our logo as your own, or register names that could be confused with ours.
• Ending it. You can stop at any time; write to us to close your partner account. We can suspend or end your participation if these terms are broken, and commission earned by breaking them is not paid. If you leave, or we end the programme for any other reason, commission earned up to that day is paid once it is confirmed, including a balance under $25.
• Changes. We may change the commission rate or these terms for future payments. We tell partners by email at least 30 days before a change that reduces what they earn.

8. No warranty

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScanForAI is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for any decision made in reliance on a result. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; we’ll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify account holders. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
